2 years ago tomorrow!

As of tomorrow, Mike and I will have known each other for two years. It's hard to believe that we will also be married for one year next month. It seems like it was just yesterday that I met him for the first time at that Castro Valley tournament when Heather played for the.... oh so missed Atwater Storm. I have met a lot of people in my 31 years in this world but when I met Mike, there was something that just clicked. We stayed up talking all night that first night that we met. We played quarters in the hotel bar that was totally empty. Not just regular quarters, we played across the room quarters, needless to say that it was very dangerous. The next day after our game, we all went to San Francisco and we were walking down by the wharf and Mike kept putting his arm around me. It just felt so natural and right, like we had known each other forever. I remember my mom kept asking me who that guy was that keeps trying to hold my hand. I told her that it was my boyfriend. Then less than 2 months after we met.... we got engaged. Then one year after we met....we got married. I never used to believe in love at first sight or soul mates or any of that stuff, but I sure do now. I love you Mike with all of my heart and soul. You are my soul mate.

Hettie's first day as a 7th grader!

Doesn't she look happy?!?!
She looks a little happier here!
Theres a smile!
Putting on her backpack
I decided to walk Heather up to the school to pick up her class schedule, no wait let me rephrase that. Heather asked me to walk her up to the school to get her class schedule. She seemed a little nervous, but not really bad, maybe more excited. Then we seen Ms. Jazzy Duran and everything was all better. I asked the girls if I could get a picture of them on their first day of school and as you can see on their faces, they weren't very enthusiastic about the whole thing. Heather wants to try out for the school volleyball team and softball and soccer, but with her playing for Modesto Ajax and all the homework she gets every night, I had to tell her to hold off until next year to play for the school. I don't want her to fall behind in her school work. We are sooo proud of everything that she has accomplished. She is such a bright and beautiful young lady.
WE LOVE YOU HETTIE!

Mike found a star fish! I think the most fun that Mike and I had in Monterey was when we were looking in the tide pools for stuff like this.

Our weekend in Monterey

Sammy the sea lion
Pretty ocean
There was moss on the trees-it looked beautiful!

Mike and I had the most relaxing and fun time together this past weekend in Monterey. We tried a new restaurant called the Monterey Fish House. If you like seafood, this is the place to go. It's a local's favorite restaurant, so theres not a lot of tourist. You have to make a reservation if you go. We had reservations and we still waited like 15-20 minutes. One couple didn't have reservations and waited an hour and 45 minutes for a table. They said that they didn't mind waiting because the food was that good. It's not overpriced or anything, the only down fall is that it is a very VERY small restaurant (house) so it is very loud in there, Mike and I had to yell at each other. Before we went to dinner there we had drinks at the Sardine Factory down on Cannery Row, and that was a lot of fun. I got a little tipsy, but it just made it that much more fun!

Mike was in Idaho this past weekend fishing with his bestfriend Jeff so I told Heather that she could have her friends stay the night. We went to a tri-tip fundraiser Saturday morning in Riverbank then I took all the girls home with us from there. We decided to go to the movies to see Mamma Mia. Let me just say that I LOVED that movie. It made me feel all warm and fuzzy inside. I really enjoyed it. I really do not like musicals at all and was really kind of scared to watch it, but I would recommend it to anyone. Anyways...the girls decided to wear dresses to the movies. Don't they look adorable. Heather truly does have the cutest and funnest friends. I always have so much fun with them.
